BEHIND THE CONVERSATION
Give the glass a moment. Then come back.
Susie likes a tasting partner who is happy to take their time. First the nose, then notes. A taste, another observation, a little patience with the finish. There’s no need to settle everything in the first sip.
As the whiskey gets some air, the impression may change. Tasting together gives those changes somewhere to go: a question, a comparison, a note the other person hadn’t noticed. Stay curious for a moment longer.

I want somebody that doesn't want to rush through it. I think that when you're looking for somebody that is good to taste with, I think you're looking for someone that maybe values the same things as you I like to nose through everything first and get all my notes down and then taste through and get those notes down. Whiskey that's been you know in a bottle or a barrel for a long time I think it needs some air to breathe and sometimes like the flavor and the finish kind of will go on or change and So I think that's something too that we benefit from tasting together to experience that and explore that too.
Story adapted from the accompanying filmed conversation.
